The board is open the following days of the week and times. (After hours, board staff will still be working, but the office will be closed to the public, and we will not be available by phone.) Please see our schedule of state holidays for office closures. Also, on exams days, we may not be able to respond immediately to phone calls. Budget and finances
Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine shop inspections (randomly selected shops), opening new shops, and conducting investigations. Inspectors also assist with school audits and inspections. Finally, inspectors administer board examinations for applicants for apprentice and registered barbers and barber instructors.
